MEN’S COMMITTEE

 

The BPSU Men’s Committee is an Ad-hoc Committee established as per Article V – Organization; 2 (f) General Council of the Constitution of the Bermuda Public Services Union.

 

The purpose of the Committee is:

 

• To encourage men’s participation in Union activities, educate men on the trade union movement and encourage their involvement at all levels;

 

• To foster communication, networking, and the dissemination of information directly relating to men;

 

• To educate on health, economic, and social issues that impact men;

 

• To encourage men’s participation in educational opportunities both locally and internationally;

 

• To encourage and support a decent work agenda for men;

 

• To create mentorship opportunities by aligning young workers with experienced men unionists;

 

• To organize an annual Men’s Day event in line with international recognized events, and other activities targeted towards men.
