BPSU BAR
COMMITTEE

The BPSU Bar Committee is a Standing Committee established as per Article V – Organization; 2 (f) General Council of the Constitution of the Bermuda Public Services Union.

The purpose of the Committee is:

 

  • To maintain the Members’ Bar and oversee the bar operations and activities.

 

  • To manage the stock and inventory of the bar and bar facilities;

 

  • To manage and direct bar staff, ensuring Training and Intervention Procedures (TIPS) certifications;

 

  • To ensure compliance with the Liquor License Act 1974 (and any subsequent amendments) at on-site and off-site events;

 

  • To direct and manage security at the Members’ Bar;

 

  • To manage revenue and expenditure of the bar in compliance with organizational financial standards.  

 

  • To organize social activities of the bar and to support other committees who require bar services.
